Courtyard Bricks

The courtyard bricks which were ordered in June should be installed no later than mid-August (weather permitting).

Pre-Baptism Class

Our next Pre-Baptism class is scheduled for Saturday, August 7.  Please contact the rectory to register.

Golden Wedding Celebration

The Diocese of Pittsburgh is once again planning its annual Golden Wedding Celebration for couples who have been married for 50 years.  This year’s celebration will take place on Sunday, October 3 with Mass at 3:00 PM at St. Paul Cathedral.  Bishop Zubik will be the celebrant.  A reception will follow in the lower hall at the Cathedral.  If you are a parishioner celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary in 2010 and would be interested in attending the celebration along with the other jubilarian couples, please contact the Rectory no later than Monday, August 9.  Invitations will be sent out after responses have been received.

Altar Server Training

If you are interested in becoming an altar server, there will be a training class on Tuesday, August 10 at 1:00 PM in the church. If you are in 4th grade or higher and willing to serve on a regular schedule, please contact Tony Giordano in the Religious Education Office at 412.264.9252 or agiordano@gaggle.net.

Bible Study Picnic

Our annual Bible Study picnic will be Monday, August 16 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Please join us after the picnic in Healy Hall to watch the video of Fr. Rich’s Installation Mass.  All are welcome!  Regular Bible Study will resume on Monday, August 23.

Diocesan Pilgrimage

Please join us on Saturday, October 9 for a pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.  Bishop Zubik will be leading this pilgrimage and we hope to fill a bus to go along as a parish in support of the Bishop’s vision of "The Church Alive."  The cost is $50 per person which includes the cost of the bus, a boxed meal and drink for the trip home and all liturgical materials.  Please contact the rectory to reserve a spot on the bus.
